Recently I've been having some rather odd dreams (can't imagine why, what with all the sickness I've been having!) and there were two that I felt like post - mostly because they're the only ones I remember...

The first was several weeks ago and I just kept forgetting to post it and the other one was just Saturday night so here goes!

Dream 2:Collapse )

That's right... I'm sick AGAIN. Doctors don't know what's wrong with me... last thing they did was allergy testing. I knew it was going to come back negative and it did. She had at first said if it did come back negative that she was going to send me to an ENT. But when the resluts came in she changed her mind and told me to go to a Gastroenterologist. The change was due to her remembering I said I had acid reflux problems (from time to time). I haven't been to the Gastroenterologist yet since A) I haven't had acid reflux in a while and B) I keep getting these nasty throat and congestion problems and I REALLY don't think it has ANYTHING to do with acid reflux!!! I considered going when it was just me having a sore throat but when it's a sore throat that I know is caused by post-nasal drip it seems kind of silly and a waste of time and money to go to anyone OTHER than an ENT. *grumbles*

So, anyway, I'm home today trying to rest up. Yesterday I didn't go to church - I stayed home and slept almost all the day long.... and was still exhausted and feeling gross afterwards. At one point I thought I was going to add "vomiting" to my list of symptoms but that past luckliy and I even managed to keep down dinner (yummie Sesamee Chicken that Mom made - haven't had that in a good 7 years!). I have a bunch of over the counter "remedies" that people keeps suggesting ("people" ranging from Mom and Roy to the "old dude pharmacist that knows everything"). I've been trying them on and off mostly to no avail. I would just take Sudafed and try to dry it all up but my nose feels like if it gets any dryer I'm going to bleed to death! So I'm taking Sudafed in smaller doses and then using a saline soulution to try and keep everything moist... it's not working very well. I tried this weird thing that the pharmacist suggested - SinuCleanse Neti Pot - this morning... man was THAT a weird feeling. Cleaned some gunk out but not a lot.... and everything tastes salty now.

Pseudo Update from San Deigo

Ok, so it's not really an update at all.... I saw this posted next to the elevator in the parking garage at the Hampton Inn we are staying at here in San Diego:

I'll be obtaining a copy of that brochure in the morning!

Panda A

San Diego

I know in my last post about my new job I mentioned that I was going to be headed to San Diego for a week of training.... That is still correct (except now we're leaving on Sunday evening).... but in addition to that I have to go back for two more weeks after the first. I get to come home on the weekends but other than that, I'll be in California for the next THREE weeks! Still pretty nifty but just a lot longer than I thought it would be. *shrugs*

Job update

As you hopefully all know by now, Matt and I have been living in DC for he past two weeks - both searching for jobs. He has some leads and one that is "almost definite". I had a bunch of stuff through temp agencies that were possibilities. I also had a company call me after finding my resume online - WFI Deployment. We set up an interview for today (this morning at 10:30) and I am finally done with running around for the day that I can tell everyone the good news: after just the one interview they hired me!... on the spot... I already signed the paperwork. *cheers* My first day is next Thursday and New Employee Orientation is on the following Monday and Tuesday... they're unsure what will happen on Wednesday but are considering giving the whole department off, Thursday is Thanksgiving and we have off then and Friday. Then, the following Monday (11/26) I hop on a plane for San Diego for training for one week!!! I'm totally excited about this. The pay is reasonable and more than I've made so far (easily enough to pay my bills!). AND, if Matt gets the "almost definite" position then we'll ride to and from work together since the two jobs are in the same town (Reston, VA).

Big News

Matt and I are moving to Washington, DC! (in just over two weeks too!)

We were made a wonderful offer by Roy (my step-dad) to move in with him and Mom temporarily until we could get "back" on our feet. I say "back" since I don't think we've been there for the first time yet. This will provide wonderful job opportunities and the chance for me to possibly go back to school. If more information is required or requested I'll post more, but I think that's a pretty good sum-up for now.

Hair Update

Ok, so I finally let Matt take some pictures of me and what my hair looks like now.

My recent Poll

I understand the need to see what my hair looks like currently and I am working on that with Matt... however... I think some of you missed what I was really getting at - this was not a poll for you to try and figure out how I would wear my hair for the wedding. It was a request to find out how YOU all would like to see it on that day (or something along those lines) :P

(I write this with a splitting head ache, so forgive me if it is disjointed)
